Judge Bromley served as a full time judicial officer in El Paso County from 1981 until 2007 and from then until 2010 as a Senior Judge. Initially she served as the Fourth Judicial District’s first District Court Magistrate hearing primarily domestic cases. As a County Judge from 1985 to 2001 she regularly heard domestic and probate cases for the District Court. She was the presiding judge for the County Court for five years and was named County Judge of the Year by the Colorado County Judges Association in 1995. From 2001 to 2007 she served as a District Judge hearing primarily domestic, probate and civil cases. Judge Bromley helped facilitate many settlements while on the bench and now is offering mediation and mediation/arbitration hearings. She has also been appointed as a private judge by the Colorado Supreme Court and has accepted appointments as a Special Master primarily regarding discovery issues. She has special expertise in domestic and probate cases but also mediates general civil cases such as real estate and personal injury. Her hourly rate is $225 and travel charges at $100 an hour for mediations outside Colorado Springs. Matters can be set for half day or full day.
Judge Bromley has been very active in the El Paso County Bar Association serving as its first woman President. She also served as a Representative to the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association and was a member of the Colorado Board of Law Examiners. She has served on the local boards of Red Cross, Girl Scouts, and Pikes Peak Hospice and as a Past President of the Colorado Springs Kiwanis Club. Judge Bromley is a graduate of the University of Virginia Law School and holds a Masters in Judicial Studies from the University of Nevada/Reno.
Judge Bromley has recently expanded her mediation practice to the following counties: Chaffee, Park, Summit, Eagle and Fremont.
Judge Bromley has completed a five day mediation course and more recently completed a three day advanced family mediation course.
